01Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SkillsCredX platform, including our website at skillscredx.com, related mobile and web applications, and any services, features or content we make available (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by SkillsCred Private Limited ("SkillsCredX", "we", "us" or "our").

By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an institution or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

02The Platform

SkillsCredX is a Student Success Network that helps learners build a professional identity by developing skills, strengthening credentials and connecting with educators, alumni and industry. Features may include social learning and networking, skill courses and assessments, digital credentials, a digital library, mentoring, and internship and placement opportunities.

We may add, change or remove features from time to time. Some features may be offered in partnership with third parties or through separate initiatives, and additional terms may apply to those.

03Eligibility and accounts

To use most features you must register for an account and provide accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

• You must be at least 16 years of age, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Where required, a parent or guardian must consent.
• One person may hold one personal account. You may not share, sell or transfer your account to anyone else.
• Institutions may create managed accounts for their students and staff under a separate arrangement with us.

04Acceptable use

You agree to use the Platform lawfully, respectfully and in a manner consistent with its purpose as a professional and educational network. You must not:

• Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, misleading or that infringes another person's rights;
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications or affiliation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with their normal operation;
• Upload malware, scrape data at scale without permission, or use automated means to access the Platform except as expressly permitted;
• Cheat, or assist others in cheating, in any assessment, examination or credential programme offered through the Platform;
• Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited commercial communications.

05Your content and licence

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload — such as profile information, posts, portfolios and messages ("User Content"). By sharing User Content you grant SkillsCredX a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute it solely to operate, provide and improve the Platform and its features.

You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights necessary to share it and to grant this licence. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our policies. This licence ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except where the content has been shared with others who have not deleted it, or where we must retain it to comply with law.

06Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and trademarks, is owned by SkillsCred Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The names "SkillsCredX", the tagline "Skills. Credentials. eXponential Opportunities." and our logos are trademarks of SkillsCred Private Limited.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial educational and professional purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Platform except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

07Courses, assessments and credentials

Some skill courses, certifications and credentials are delivered directly by SkillsCredX, and others are offered through partner initiatives such as Skill University (skilluniversity.org). Where an assessment is proctored, you consent to the monitoring described in our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Digital credentials issued through the Platform certify completion of the relevant activity based on the information available to us. We take reasonable steps to keep credentials accurate and verifiable, but we do not guarantee that any credential will be recognised or accepted by any particular employer, institution or authority.

08Third-party services and links

The Platform may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites, content and services that we do not control, including partner course providers and employers. We provide these for convenience and do not endorse and are not responsible for them. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms and privacy practices.

09Disclaimers

The Platform and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any particular learning, career or networking outcome will be achieved.

Educational and career information on the Platform is provided for general guidance and should not be treated as professional, legal or financial advice.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkillsCred Private Limited and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunity, goodwill or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event.

11Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or our policies, if required by law, or to protect the Platform, its users or the public.

On termination, your right to use the Platform ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — will continue to apply.

12Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern informally.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
