Takedown Policy

How to report content that infringes your rights or breaches our policies — and how we handle those reports.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Please note

This document is provided as a general template and starting point. It is not legal advice. SkillsCred Private Limited recommends that it be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel to reflect current law and the company's specific practices before it is relied upon.

Overview

SkillsCred Private Limited ("SkillsCredX") respects the intellectual property and other rights of others and expects users of the SkillsCredX platform to do the same. This Takedown Policy explains how to report content on the Platform that you believe is unlawful or infringes your rights, and how we handle such reports.

Our commitment

We aim to respond to valid takedown requests promptly and fairly, balancing the rights of those who report content with the interests of the users who posted it. We act as an intermediary hosting user-generated content and rely on rights holders and the community to bring problematic content to our attention.

What can be reported

You may submit a notice about content that you reasonably believe:

  • Infringes a copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right you own or represent;
  • Is defamatory, harassing, threatening or invades privacy;
  • Contains sensitive personal information shared without consent;
  • Is unlawful, obscene, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service or applicable law;
  • Impersonates a person or organisation.

How to submit a notice

Send a written notice to our designated officer at legal@skillscredx.com with the subject line "Takedown Request". To help us act quickly, please use the email associated with your account where possible.

Information to include

So that we can assess and act on your request, please include:

  • Your name, contact details and, if you are acting on behalf of a rights holder, your authority to do so;
  • A clear description of the content and its exact location on the Platform (for example, a link or profile reference);
  • The right you say has been infringed, or the specific policy or law you believe the content violates;
  • For intellectual-property claims, identification of the original work and, where relevant, proof of ownership;
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate.

Our process and timelines

When we receive a complete notice we will review it, and we may contact you for more information. If we determine that content should be removed or restricted, we will act accordingly and, where appropriate, notify the user who posted it. We generally aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to resolve them as promptly as reasonably practicable, consistent with applicable law.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or that you have the right to post it, you may submit a counter-notice to legal@skillscredx.com explaining why. Include your contact details, identification of the removed content, and a good-faith statement. We will review counter-notices and may restore content where appropriate.

Repeat infringers

We may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly post infringing or unlawful content, in line with our Terms of Service.

Misuse of this process

Submitting false or bad-faith notices may cause harm and may itself be unlawful. Please only submit a notice if you genuinely believe your rights have been infringed or the content violates our policies or the law.
